3D Chess Game: A Review

As a chess enthusiast, I have spent hours trying different chess apps. Unfortunately, most of them were annoying in some way, such as ads, slow reaction, slow loading, multiple steps to start the game, or unable to easily shut down. However, I stumbled upon the 3D Chess Game app and found it to be the most appealing experience. This app is well done and has exceeded my expectations.

Realistic Graphics

The graphics of this app are so realistic that it feels like having a real computer chess set with a real chess board and real chess pieces. The 3D board camera view adjustability is a great feature that allows you to maneuver the board for different views and customize your colors.

Challenging Levels

The app has a range of levels available, and I have not gotten past level 9 yet. The game is challenging, and I have learned some strategies, but the Black Queen always comes back to blindside me after sacrificing herself or playing dumb. It gets real tough around level 10, but all in all, it's fun.

Great for Learning

This app is not only for experienced chess players but also for learners. The CPU sometimes makes bad moves, but it can be a great way for people who wish to learn how to play chess to get quick easy experience. You can go back in your movements and also build situations and verify how you solve this "problems." You can plan your actions for better learning.

Customizable Features

The app has customizable features such as adjustable color schemes, human vs. human - 1 device screen switch, and the option to under-promote your passed pawn instead of simply automatically getting another queen. There are no ads (so far), and there is no penalty for back moves.

Improvements

Although this app is great, there is always room for improvement. It would be great if the app could add a couple more moves so that users can learn for future reference. Additionally, some users have reported issues with the timing after updating to Android 11, where the pieces move too fast when it's time to make a move.

Final Thoughts

The 3D Chess Game app is a very good chess game that I would recommend to anyone. It will make you mentally strong, and you can check your mind level where you are standing. The app is fantastic for setting up and analyzing positions, especially when using a book or magazine with a lot of variations. The reverse function lets you go back through moves to the starting position. Overall, this app is a great way to improve your chess skills and have fun while doing it.
